I do agree that the number of foxes has got to be kept under control, but wonder if there is a more humane way of doing this than using dogs. However, I accept there are a great number of people who rely on hunting for a living and so I think that its a bit of a 'catch 22' situation.
I used to do some work for a guy who went deer hunting and wasn't keen on it at all until he explained that the deer to be hunted were carefully chosen as being either old or weak in some way, after this it made more sense to me. Unfortunately the hunters can't chose a particular fox like that.
