Hi Anna,
I notice from your signature that you are undertaking W200 in addition to W100. I was wondering whether you would mind, as the course progresses, giving your view on how much more work the level 2 course is compared with the level 1? The reason I am asking is that I very nearly put my name down for W200. However, because of on-going health issues, and the fact that I read that W200 is very intensive (particularly the amount to read), I decided in the end to opt for W100. I am limited on time - working full-time, kids etc - and would therefore be very interested to know your impressions on the difference between the two courses....just in case I decide to give it a go next year! [B]Whoops, just realised I have posted this in the wrong forum - it is probably better in the 'general' forum. Sorry - please move if you wish!

Of course I will!
I've got my first tutorial on Thursday. Loads of reading to do before then as I registered quite late, so only got the books (oh my God, the books! Loads of them and they are ENORMOUS!) last week. It looks really interesting, but there must be about 20x as much reading to do... -------------------- Anna

Had my first W200 tutorial last night.
It went really well and I really enjoyed it. We looked over a case and had a bit of a chat about the course too. One piece of advice the tutor gave us was to concentrate on the TMAs- there is so much reading and there are so many exercises that we can't hope to do them all. So passing that on, becuase I'm sure it applies to W100 even more, especially as we don't have an exam -------------------- Anna

So now that you are near the end of both courses Anna, can you give us a comparison - providing you are still around because I don't think you have posted recently (probably too busy

It's pretty mental at the moment! Trying to get eTMA08 finished so that I can concentrate on the W200 exam.
I have to say that W200 is really enjoyable (except for exam fears!) and I really recommend it to you all. It's much more law based and a bit less social sicencey, but W100 provides a really good base for it. I'm so sorry about the crap on the board recently! Anna x -------------------- Anna

Oh well I'm glad that you can recommend it to us as I'm going to sign up for it. I have been reading the W200 forum on the OU's boards and I noticed everyone saying it's much less Social Sciences based. I'm also pleased that you feel W100 is a good introduction in spite of that. This has been troubling me a bit as that's one of my criticisms of W100 - I have kept wondering when the emphasis was going to move to law instead, as I was sure W200 would be much more law focused and I wanted to be a bit prepared for it! Thanks for clearing up the spam.
